North Vista Elementary School21st Century After-School ProgramRules and Procedures2009-2010 • The program is a privilege, not a right. • The program operates Monday – Friday 2:15 – 5:15. • Car pickup is at the front of the school. ALL car riders must be picked up by 5:15. First time being late is a warning and the second time is an automatic dismissal from the program. • Students must attend a minimum of 5 days each week and are expected to stay the entire length of the program from 2:15-5:00 daily. Sign students out early only when there is an emergency.

  4. Students must bring their ID/Agenda each day. • Students must work hard and put forth an effort toward completing assignments. • Students must behave in a manner that is respectful to themselves, staff, and the school. First office referral will result in a warning and the second is an automatic dismissal from the program. • Students may be dropped from the program at the discretion of the principal. • Failure to abide by these rules and procedures will result in being dropped from the program.

  5. 21st Century Community Learning CenterMonday – Friday2:15 – 5:15 • Students enter the back door of the cafeteria at 2:10pm. They are escorted to the cafeteria by the teacher escorting the walkers at dismissal.

  9. Homework andEnhancement Activities • Two grade levels work on homework assignments with the assistants while two grade levels receive enhancement activities with the teachers from 3:05pm – 4:05pm.

  10. Homework andEnhancement Activities • At 4:05 we rotate so that the grade levels that were working on homework then go to enhancement activities and the grade levels working on enhancement activities complete homework..

  12. Dance • Students in grades 3 and 4 have dance on Tuesdays and students in grades 5 and 6 on Thursday.

  13. University Instructors • We are fortunate to have three University Instructors; Ms. Carter , Ms. Swenson and Mr. Metts. The University Instructors work on Monday and Wednesdays with a selected group of students. Ms. Carter works with fourth graders, Mr. Metts with fifth and Ms. Swenson with sixth.

  16. Dismissal • We dismiss at 5:00pm each afternoon. All students need to be picked up no later than 5:15 each day.
