  1. He has been an indisputable inspiration to millions of people - Anonymous Biography 5 Common Themes -Beliefs -Personal Stories -Motivation -Strength -Passion The most famous professional cyclist, Lance Armstrong, was born in Plano, Texas, on September 18, 1971. As a child, Armstrong began his favorite event of cycling at the age of 13. Now at 41 years of age, the now professional cyclist has been awarded seven Tour de France titles, 11th in the World Championship Road Race, and numerous other awards and championships. Lance Armstrong started his writing career back in 2000, with his bibliography called It’s Not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life. Armstrong has also had two documentary films created about himself, as well as several books from other authors. My Writer: My writer, Lance Armstrong explains his whole life through his eyes in his biographies. Although it was surprising that he did not hold back his feelings or thoughts on growing up, especially when regarding his father. He is not afraid to speak his mind, saying whatever will get his point across. Lance Armstrong My Writer is like: Michael Phelps, not only for the fact that they are two professional American athletes, but also the way they express themselves through writing. Both speak about the hardships they had to overcome as children, as well as the constant harassment from the media and critics regarding cheating. The man has to be credited with greatly expanding the global visibility of cycling -Steve Maxwell As I read about him, I thought: Originally, I thought of Armstrong as a carefree, happy man. After reading some of his biography, however, I found that he was very blunt and unemotional when explaining his life story, Although this seems like it would make his writing uninteresting, it actually made me understand and enjoy the biography more. 2. How To Write Like Armstrong: In order to be able to write like professional cyclist Lance Armstrong, three steps need to be taken into consideration. First off, when explaining your own life story, give a lot of detail pertaining your childhood. Secondly, don’t hold back the ideas or feelings, Armstrong is very blunt about what he thinks or experiences. Lastly, explain your motivation; what keeps pushing you forward in life everyday to achieve your dreams. Portion from “It’s Not About the Bike” Your past forms, whether you like it or not. Each encounter and experience has its own effect, and you’re shaped the way the wind shapes a mesquite tree on a plain. The main thing you need to know about my childhood is that I never had a real father, but I never sat around wishing for one, either. My mother was 17 when she had me, and from day one everyone told her we wouldn’t amount to anything, but she believed differently, and she raised me with an unbending rule: “Make every obstacle an opportunity.” And that’s what we did. I was a lot of kid, especially for one woman. My mother’s maiden name was Linda Mooneyham. She is 5-foot3 and weighs about 105 pounds, and I don’t know how somebody so tiny delivered me, because I weighed in at 9 pounds, 12 ounces. Her labor was so difficult that she lay in fever for an entire day afterward. Her temperature was so high that the nurses wouldn’t let her hold me. I never knew my so-called father. He was a non-factor, unless you count his absence as a factor. Just because he provided the DNA that made me doesn’t make him my father, and as far as I’m concerned, there is nothing between us, absolutely no connection. I have no idea who he is, what he likes or dislikes. Before last year, I never knew where he lived or worked.
