SOUL INSTALLATION. Step-1 For this Please Install the Version 7.0 or SQL Server 2000 or onwards. Step-2 (Database Creation ). Go to the Start Menu  PROGRAMS => Microsoft SQL Server =>Click on Enterprise Manager. Click Here. => The Following Screen appears on your monitor.

  1. SOUL INSTALLATION • Step-1 For this Please Install the Version 7.0 or SQL Server 2000 or onwards.

  2. Step-2 (Database Creation ) • Go to the Start MenuPROGRAMS • =>Microsoft SQL Server • =>Click on Enterprise Manager Click Here

  3. =>The Following Screen appears on your monitor

  4. =>Click on Microsoft SQL Server plus Icon .=>SQL Server Group appears. =>Click on SQL Server Group plus Icon. => Local SQL Server Name will appear. Here SOULTR is shown to you. =>Click on SOULTR(Windows NT) =>all objects will appear like 1. Database 2. Management 3. Replication etc… => Select Database options. =>Right Click on Database => You will get the following Options 1. New Databases 2. All Tasks 3. New Windows from here 4. Refresh 5. Help => Choose the New database and Click on that…

  5. (which Form is shown below) Select New Database Option And Click on that…

  6. =>When this following screen will appear=>Enter the name of the database like SOUL or any other name ..=>Click OK Button Enter the name of database like Soul or any other name….. Click here

  7. =>Check out on the following Screen Your new database is created or not? , This is your new Database Soul4, created by you

  8. =>When you click on your new database SOUL4, the following Screen appears, contained the following objects… Click Here

  9. ► When you click on Tables of your soul4 database you will find out only 19 items (tables) are there, called system tables…..are auto generated by systems…….► Please Insert the SOULCD inside the CD Drive.►When the Setup Screen will Appear, Please Click on Cancel Button.►One Message Box will appear”Are you sure want to Cancel Button?”►Click on Yes Button. Here 19 items

  10. => Click on Tools, then the following screen appears…. Click Here

  11. =>Click on SQL Query Analyzer. Select This Option

  12. =>This SQL Query Analyzer, screen will appear….

  13. =>Click on this open Button Click on this open Button

  14. =>This following screen will appear…… Click on this My Documents

  15. =>When this screen appears, Select the disc drive of your computer….(may be E OR F OR G Drive) Detail path of all Directories and files

  16. When this screen appears, => Choose the Soul 2003(in F drive) => Then three folder appears, i.e. (1) DISK1 (2) OPAC (3) SCRIPTS => Select SCRIPTS folders. Select this drive and you will find out these three folders These are three folders

  17. => The following Screen will appear.=> Here you can find out three files are there inside this SCRIPTS folder. That is bookcreate, BOOKDROP, opac_proc=> Then you select the All Files(*.*) in Files of type Select this All Files (*.*) option

  18. When this screen appears… => Select Bookcreate files => Click on Open Button Step-1, Select this file Step-2, Click Here

  19. Click Here=>When the Following screen appears =>Then execute the Query through (F5) orGreen Button Click Here

  20. =>The following Execution Screen will appear. Check Here Remember: After execution of the Query Please Don’t press that green button, once again…. otherwise your database will not work properly.

  21. Similarly open the SCRIPTS folder once again.Select the INSERT file Click on Open Button. Step-1, Select this option Step-2, Click here

  22. Click Here=> The following Screen will appear.=> Now execute the Query through (F5) orGreen Button Click Here

  23. =>The following Execution Screen will appear . Check here for the statement.

  24. => Similarly open the SCRIPTS folder once again. => Select the Letter_format file. => Click on Open Button. Step-1, Select this option Step-2, Press this button

  25. Click Here=> Then the following screen will appear. => Now execute the Query through (F5) orGreen Button Click Here

  26. =>Then the following Execution screen will appear. Check here that statement is there or not?

  27. Similarly open the SCRIPTS folder once again. Step-1, Select this optionSelect the Opac_proc File.Click on Open Button. Step-1, Select this option Step-2, Press this button

  28. Click Here=>Then the Following screen will appear.Now execute the Query through (F5) orGreen Button Click Here

  29. =>Then the following Execution screen will appear. Check this statement

  30. NOW THE DATABASE CREATION PART IS COMPLETE

  31. After completing the database Creation, We have to check that database( means SOUL4) is created properly or not?Steps:Go to start menuSelect the programsSelect the Microsoft SQL ServerSelect the Enterprise Manager. Select this through step by steps

Select this through step by stepsClick on Microsoft SQL ServersClick on SQL Server GroupClick on Your Local Server (Here is SOULTR)Click on DatabasesClick on Soul4Click on Tables => you can find out total 146 items are there.=>Then you can be sure that your database is created properly……… Here you Should see 146 items
