  2. Social Structures • Two main Social classes. • The Patricians & the Plebeians. • Patricians- Upper class, Nobility and wealthy land owners. • Plebeians-Lower class, Nicknamed “Plebs”. Everyone who wasnt a Patrician was a Pleb. • Both clases had practiced the same religon language (Latin) and if the Plebs could afford it they had slaves.

  3. Politics • The Senate • The Consuls • Assembly

  4. Achievements • Tech: Built the Roman roads, arches and aque ducts with their invention, concrete. • Medicine: They had a welfare system for the poor. • Language: Latin • Religon:They stole the Greek gods and simply renamed them, except Apollo.

  5. Achievements 2... • Law: Innocent till proven guilty. Propaganda. • Literature Theater and Art: Satires. Virgils Aeneid. Realistic satues, masks and mosaics.

  6. Religion • The Roman Republic believed in Greek Mythology. • They stole the Greek gods and just renamed them. (except Apollo)

Religion dous!~List of gods!~ • Jupiter~Zeus; King of gods. • Juno~ Hera; Wife of Zeus, Queen of gods. • Mecury~Hermes; God of trade. • Neptune~Poseidon; God of sea and ponies. • Venus~Aphrodite; Goddess of love and beauty. • Apollo~Apollo... God of music and poetry. • Diana~Artemis; Goddess of hunt and the moon. • Pluto~Hades; God of the underworld. • Mars~ Ares; God of war. • Miherva~Athena; Goddess of wisdom. • Vulcan~Hephaestus, God of fire.

  8. Economics • The fall of the Roman Republic. • Tax money • Elected officials took advantage of their positions. • No police.

  9. Geography • The “boot” of Europe • Lawless lands
