  2. Setting up links PowerPoint has a facility called Action Buttons which allow you to add a “command” button at any point of the text. There are also actions settings which allow text, images or objects to make links

  3. Action Buttons • When you click on Action Buttons you can choose a number of options: • Custom • Home • Help • Information • Previous Slide • Next Slide • First Slide • Last Slide • Last Slide Viewed • Document / Sound / Movie

  4. Types of Button Custom First / previous slide Last / next slide Home / Last Slide Viewed Info Doc /Sound / Movie

  5. Adding an Action When you insert an action button a dialogue box will pop up, this can be either on the action of a mouse click or when you pass over the object.

  6. Removing the advance on click Normally in a PP presentation a click anywhere on the screen will advance the slides. When using Action Buttons to create a MPN you need to remove this. 1. Click on slide show and then slide transition 2. Make sure that advance slide on mouse click or automatically are both deselected, apply this to all slides.
