  2. 1890 12th June 1890 In Tulln near Vienna His father worked as a station master for the Austrian State Railways Schiele was the third of four children

  3. 1905 His father died of mental illnes Schiele drew a large number of his first self-portraits

  4. 1906 Schiele went to the School of Art and Crafts in Vienna Within his first year, Schiele was sent to the more traditional Academy of Fine Arts, but he was frustrated by the school‘s conservatism

  5. 1907 Gustav Klimt is another big artist from Austria and very popular in the Art Nouveau He encouraged the younger artists, buyed his drawings, or offered to exchange them for some of his own and introduced him to potential patrons The parallel can be seen in some of their pictures

  7. 1908 Schiele had his first exhibition in Austria

  8. 1909 Schiele left the Academy of Fine Arts He founded the New Art Group with some friends He exhibited at the Vienna art exhibition, wehre Schiele encountered the work of Vincent van Gogh

  9. 1910 Schiele found his own explicit style He shocked with his paintings

  10. 1911 He met the seventeen-year-old model Vally Neuzil Together they moved to Neulengbach near Vienna The other people didn’t like Schiele’s way of life and his wild affair He painted her very often

  11. 1912 The police came to place him under arrest The judge pronounce Schiele guilty of exhibiting erotic drawings He stayed tree days in prison

  12. 1914 Schiele met Edith Harms Against her family‘s wisches , Schiele and were married in June 1915 The faithful Vallie was coldly dismissed by Schiele

  13. March 1918 Schiele had a big succession at the Vienna Secessions-exhibition During the same year, he also had successful shows in Germany, France and England

  14. 1918 Edith who was six months pregnant died at 28th October of the Spanish influenza Schiele died on 31st October, he was 28 years old In this tree days Schiele drew a few sketches of Edith, these were his last works

  15. Schiele‘s works are very popular today, on international auctions his pictures achieves the top prices All museums worldwide scramble for his wokrs
