Second, put a + or – sign next to each couplet.
Count and total the +’s and –”s. Which side has more?
Look at the tone/mood tip sheet. choose some words to describe the author’s attitude towards the subject of__________?
Look at each main idea of the poem, and use a word from the tip sheet to describe the mood.
