    27. Role of Evaluator Assessing Projects Filling Out Rubric and/or Rating Sheet Asking Appropriate Questions Writing Constructive Comments Creating Positive Learning Environment for Members

    28. Role of Room Consultant Facilitates Event: Manage flow of STAR Event Give same directions to all participants Provide info to evaluators when asked a question by referring them to appropriate resource Refrain from giving their opinion

Rubrics / Rating Sheets Read through criteria with other evaluators and point values i.e. Time Log worth 1 point Be aware which “section” of event has the most points i.e. Display worth 23 points, Oral Presentation worth 34 points, Design & Construction Skills worth 33 points (room consultant check worth 10 points) for a total of 100 points

    30. Rubrics / Rating Sheets Evaluator circle only ONE number per criteria – DO NOT CIRCLE A RANGE OF NUMBERS (i.e. 5-6) Write # in Points Column Use whole numbers only – no decimals or fractions

    31. Rubrics / Rating Sheets Rubrics may be more than one page long Most Rubrics / Rating Sheets Add Up to 90 Points Room Consultant completes Point Summary Form for each entry This accounts for 10 points

    33. State Qualifiers All Decisions of Evaluators are Final Exception is error in calculation discovered\ Will Be Eligible to Compete at State Level All Entries Earning A Score of 85 or Better Will Be Eligible to Compete at State Level All Entries New Events Will Participate at State Conference

    34. State Leadership Conference State Conference will be April 6 - 8 at Kalahari Resort & Conference Center If you are interested in receiving mailing about state conference fill out index card with name plus contact information, turn in today

    35. Evaluators – Prior To Leaving Today Confirm Scores for Entry are Within 10 Point Range of Each Other Helpful Comments Provided for Each Entry Initial or Sign: Point Summary Form Rubric / Rating Sheet Sign STAR Events Worksheet

    36. Logistics For Today Location of Events Lunch Procedure at End of Evaluation Process Please remain at your evaluation station until all numerical results have been confirmed by the Room Consultant
