  4. Research needs funding, sometimes • Funding Opportunities • Applying for a HEA Teaching Development Grant (TDG) can help gain recognition for the innovative work you do with your students and/or provide seed money for a larger project.

  5. Sharing ideas and practice • Workshops, Seminars, Conferences • Attending some of the many different types of events that the HEA organises is one way to learn about how others teach and what pedagogical research is in development. It can also help you to develop as a teacher.
