  2. “The words printed here are just concepts. You must go through the experiences” .– Saint Augustine Fourth Graders in Florida study Florida History as part of their Social Studies component. We will be studying Florida as a whole, but will be taking time in December and January to focus on St. Augustine and the East Coast of Florida to help each student get the very most out of their trip. This is not just a “field trip” – this is an authentic, hands on learning experience for each and every child.

Fundraising Opportunities • We are considering fundraisers to help offset the cost of this trip: a movie night on the lawn, spaghetti dinner hosted by fourth graders, restaurant nights where a portion of their nightly gross will be donated to the grade group. • Teachers will not be planning fundraisers. They will be lead by parents. • Do you know any business owners who would be interested in helping out in any way? • We are looking for children who need sponsored! We want every child who wants to go to be able to go! • Families who participate in the fundraiser will be able to have profits applied to their trip costs. Families who choose not to participate will not have profits applied to their trip costs.
