ETCF-II is co-funded by the European Unionand the Republic of Turkey • Objectives: To establish a Commerce Portal which; • introduces the recent legislative changes by the Turkish Commercial Code in line with adoption to the business-related Acquis, • promotes web-presence of companies, • supports clustering, • enables online matchmaking between Turkish and European companies, • fosters new trade and investment opportunities and hence to promote SME development; • to transfer know-how and experience with European counterparts for developing this system; • hence to develop service capacity of project parties; • to benefit from each other's knowledge for establishing an effective international network over this system; • to promote internationalization of project parties and their member companies, thus to contribute at the integration of the business world in Turkey and the EU. ETCF-II is co-funded by the European Unionand the Republic of Turkey • Activities • Analysis of members • Establishment of Commerce Portal:System design / Pilot tests / Presentation to the members / Training about data entry / Creation of self-profiles by the Turkish and Dutch member companies / Online matchmaking / Preparation of videos for “online video library” of experts • Study visit: Study Visit to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany • Trainingsandseminarsabout New TurkishCommercialCodeand E-Trade • System presentation to companies and business organisations in the Western Mediterranean Region, TOBB and Eurochambers TOBB

  6. ETCF-II is co-funded by the European Unionand the Republic of Turkey • Expected Results: • Cooperation between project parties is developed for the first time. Know-how on business matchmaking is transferred. Mutual knowledge and understanding between Turkish Chambers and their counterparts in the EU is strengthened. Knowledge on core chamber issues -facilitating trade and investment opportunities for members- is exchanged. • An online commerce portal is established. A business network of Turkish and Dutch companies is created. Online business matchmaking is realized. New trade and investment opportunities are fostered. Service capacity of project parties is increased. • A study visit to the “Euregional” network of Limburg CCI (Netherlands, Germany and Belgium) is held, cooperation is strengthened. Stronger awareness of the opportunities and challenges of Turkey’s future accession to the EU in both parties is accomplished. • New Turkish Commercial Code in line with the Acquis, aiming to facilitate adaptation of Turkish business world to Europe is promoted with seminars, trainings and the commerce portal. Integration of European and Turkish business communities is strengthened. Effective implementation of business-related Acquis in Turkey is ensured. Understanding of the EU business practices in Turkey and of Turkish business practices in the EU is increased. TOBB
