  3. Childhood • Gates would always do good in school. His favorite subjects were math and science. He dressed dorky so everyone made fun of him. So to try and fit in he would do bad in all the subjects. Except math and science. He was very good at negotiating. At the age of nine he saw a big computer and loved it. At the age of eleven he wrote his first legal document. He would always think really hard before he did something.

  4. Adolescence Gates went to Lakeside Middle School. In school he would always try and find shortcuts. He shunned sports and put his full attention on school. He would play tennis rarely. He won a National Merit Scholarship. He found a best friend named Kent Evans. They both loved computers. Then Gates found a new friend named Paul Allen. Gates and his friends thought they could make money using what they know about computers. Gates and Allen got a job at the Computer Center Corporation. Gates and Allen quit that job and made TrafoData they made things that go on the road and tell the government how cars are going. Sometimes Gates would ask to leave class and help Allen work on a new project. Gates got everything right on his S.A.T’s and went strait to Harvard.

  5. Adulthood When Gates was in college he saw there were kids smarter than he was so he was mad. But he did know more about computers then the kids and some of the professors. He was always on the computer with his friends. Gates joined Allen in Albuquer and new Mexico where they made Microsoft. Gates knew if Microsoft made it to the ground floor and fast it would make big profits and make them go to the top. Gates travelled across the country to sell Microsoft products to computer manufactures. Gates signed lots of contracts for his program B.A.S.I.C including two of the biggest computer organizations. Gates was very strict and demanding when it comes to his business. In 1978 Gates moved Microsoft to Seattle, Washington. At age thirty-one Gates was the youngest billionaire.

  6. Adulthood (Cont’d) In 1994 Gates got married. In 1997 gates bought a house twenty times the size of the normal house. Gates almost reached one-hundred billion dollars in 1996. he was the richest person in the world.

  8. Contributions In 1998 Gates gave twenty million dollars to Duke University. Gates gave money to Children Vaccine Program.Gates gave twelve million dollars to University of Washington. Six million to Stanford University. And one million dollars to United Way Charity.

  11. Most Interesting Story Bill Gates was so into computers in 1975. He would work day and night with little or no sleep. This is because he was trying to make a computer corporation. This would be called Microsoft.
