  10. What Does this Mean? 1. In 2011/2012 Cottage School was in Year 2 of Program Improvement. • To exit Program Improvement we will need to achieve our AYP goals two consecutive years. • 10% of our Title 1 budget must be spent on professional development. • Our professional development must focus on strategies that will support our students’ growth in target academic areas.

  11. Current work includes: Reading and discussing educational research. Attending off site training (Comprehensive Literacy, Writers’ Workshop, Montessori). Growing our Montessori Program. Focusing our collaboration time. Coordinating our instructional daily schedules. Personalizing instruction. Integrating character education and Olweus bully prevention program. Providing on-site tutoring services. Using data to target services of support staff.

  12. Monitoring our Progress Throughout the year we will be: Administer formative assessment, analyze the results, and use the information to guide instruction. Meet by grade levels to review individual student progress. Support staff will collaborate with grade levels to continually monitor and adjust support. Grade level teachers, support staff, and principal will meet three times a year to analyze student progress and adjust program.
