WiMedia’s Goals • Promote easy to use wireless communications with a focus on multimedia capable environments. • Walk in, turn it on and it works. • Create specifications that leverage standards-based technologies: • Match existing/emerging standards to market opportunities. • Focus on the adoption of 802.15.3(a) as the market driver. • Create liaison role with complementary organizations. • Drive the development of specifications and standards essential to deliver WiMedia certified products. • Establish a certification and logo program.
