What is the DCP_Monitor?

What does the DCP_Monitor require?

  • DAMSNT Data Source (LRGS, DRGS, NOAAPORT)

  • DECODES decoding metadata (if you want to decode the messages)

  • LRGS “Netlist” (if you don’t need to decode the messages)

  • Access to the DCS “pdt.compressed” table to get PDT metadata

DCS PDT Table is crucial

  • In any future system we will need basic metadata for PDTs

  • Sometimes the “pdt.compressed” file becomes stale (more than several days old)

  • Need a more reliable system of generating and posting the PDT metadata
