  2. Friendly, nonjudgmental counselling and services on birth control and sexual health. Birth control supplies at a reduced cost or in some cases no cost. Testing for paps, STIs: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Herpes, HIV, Hepatitis B & C and Syphilis. Pregnancy testing and options counselling. Emergency contraception Birth Control Centre Services

  3. Contraceptive Care • Assessment: • Medical & sexual history • Blood pressure, pelvic exam

  4. Contraceptive Care • Counselling: • Contraceptive options • How to use the method • Side effects • Risks & benefits • STI prevention • Emergency contraception • Annual pap, breast exam,& STI testing.

  5. Sexual Assault Response Team (S.A.R.T.) • If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted – go to a Capital Health emergency Department. • A SART nurse will provide sexual assault care. • The SART nurse will provide you care, whether you want or do not want to report the assault to the police. • The nurse will offer you medication to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
