Overview of the MME • Who Must Test? • Grade 11 • All Students, including foreign exchange students who enrolled by March 6 • Only two Exceptions • Student who takes MI-Access based on their IEP – may not take any part of MME • Student retained/reclassified as grade 11 who previously took MME and has valid MME scores in each subject • Grade 12 • Students who do not test as an 11th grader • See the Day 3 Test Administration Manual for more information.

What’s New? • Administration Changes • Auxiliary Test Centers no longer offered in 2012 • Class/Group ID Sheet has been eliminated • TACs will also be responsible for the return of accommodated testing materials for Day 3 in addition to Days 1 & 2. • Cut-score Update • Pending approval, the new cut-scores will be in place for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Test Site Establishment • Responsibility of High School Principal • Submit school information profile • Select/confirm key MME testing staff • Establishment/Renewal Packets to arrive at high schools by September 6 • Sent to HS principals • Courtesy copy sent to District Assessment Coordinators • Principals must complete their portion of the online registration by September 16

  15. Test Site Establishment • Required Key MME Testing Staff • Test Supervisor (TS) • Backup Test Supervisor (BU) • Test Accommodations Coordinator (TAC) • The TS and BU cannot be the same person. • Online registration

  16. Test Site Establishment • Test Supervisor (TS) • Responsible for all MME assessment activities for your school • Responsible for all standard time test materials: receipt, secure storage, distribution, and return. • Responsible for ordering both Standard Time and Accommodated test materials.

Test Site Establishment • Back-up Test Supervisor (BU) • Responsible to serve if Test Supervisor unable to do so • Will assist the Test Supervisor • Test Accommodations Coordinator (TAC) • Coordinates all Accommodations Testing, including application for Day 1 ACT-approved and State-allowed testing accommodations • Responsible for all accommodated test materials: receipt, secure storage, distribution, and return.

  20. Training • Spring 2012 MME Training Workshops • Registration required. • Required for new TS, BU, and TACs! • Required for TS and TAC if misadministration in 2011. • Registration Deadline: October 21, 2011.

  21. Training • ALL new Test Supervisors, Back-up Test Supervisors, and Test Accommodations Coordinators are required to attend. • TS and TAC from schools that had a misadministration last year are required to attend. • School or district administrators are encouraged to attend when a misadministration occurred the previous year.

  22. Training • Remember to bring your training packets when you attend a workshop as there will be no extra materials onsite.

Testing with Accommodations • NCRC Eligibility • WorkKeys scores obtained using accommodations marked “Yes” in the MME Accommodations Summary Table may be eligible for the NCRC provided the necessary criteria to earn one of the four levels of Certificate are achieved. • WorkKeys scores obtained using accommodations marked “No” are ineligible for the NCRC.

Testing with Accommodations • Day 2 and Day 3 Accommodations • You must order Day 2 and Day 3 accommodations materials. • Day 2 and Day 3 accommodated materials are ordered through the BAA Secure Site (www.michigan.gov/baa-secure) • Decision to request accommodations for WorkKeys and Michigan Component is a local decision • Based on student’s IEP, 504 Plan, or ELL instruction • Accommodation student receives during regular instruction
