  1. 1+1=2 ABC Back to the Basics "See Dick and Jane run."

  2. Energize Your Faith! Rom. 10:17; Jn. 20:30-32 Back to the Basics

  3. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith is essential to pleasing God (cf. Hebrews 11:6). The Word of God is designed to engender faith in man.

  4. John 20:30-31 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. Through diligent reading of the Bible we can energize our faith!

  5. Energize Your Faith! Rom. 10:17; Jn. 20:30-32 Fortify Your Hope! Rom. 8:25; 15:4 Back to the Basics

  6. Romans 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. Hope is a necessary trait for Christians to have if we are to persevere!

  7. Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. As with faith, the word of God is designed to produce hope! (We can know God keeps His promises).

  8. Energize Your Faith! Rom. 10:17; Jn. 20:30-32 Fortify Your Hope! Rom. 8:25; 15:4 Activate Your Love! 1 Jn. 3:16; 4:9-11 Back to the Basics

  9. 1 John 3:16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. Jesus taught us the type of love we are to have for others in his sacrifice on the cross.

  10. 1 John 4:9-11 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

  11. Energize Your Faith! Rom. 10:17; Jn. 20:30-32 Fortify Your Hope! Rom. 8:25; 15:4 Activate Your Love! 1 Jn. 3:16; 4:9-11 Enhance Your Joy! Jn. 15:11; 1 Jn. 1:4 Back to the Basics

  12. John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. Jesus has given us words designed to bring us joy! “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love” (vs. 10)

  13. 1 John 1:4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. The apostles have also given us words designed to bring us joy! “Our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ” (vs. 3).

  14. Energize Your Faith! Rom. 10:17; Jn. 20:30-32 Fortify Your Hope! Rom. 8:25; 15:4 Activate Your Love! 1 Jn. 3:16; 4:9-11 Enhance Your Joy! Jn. 15:11; 1 Jn. 1:4 Enjoy Your Peace! Rom. 14:17-19; 5:1 Back to the Basics

  15. Romans 14:17-19 For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. Peace is a crucial element constituting the kingdom of God!

  16. Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Peace with God begins first of all with justification through Jesus Christ

  17. The Word of God & Prayer Brethren, whenever you find yourself in a spiritual "slump", let these two avenues of communication with God be the key to: Energize your faith! Fortify your hope! Activate your love! Enhance your joy! Enjoy your peace!
