  1. Welcome! Welcome to science!

  2. Promethean Board Start here…. ABC End here…. Please sit in alphabetical order by last name.

  3. The Challenge Teams have ten minutes to build the tallest cup tower.

  4. Build the Tallest Cup Tower The winning team is the one that has the tallest tower measured from the table top surface to the top of the tallest cup.

  5. No part of your body may touch the cups. Touching a cup with any part of your body disqualifies the team.

  6. String Use the cup challenge tool. String rubber band String String Each person will hold on to one piece of the string and working together will manipulate the rubber band to grasp and move a cup.

  7. TheTower Teams are free to design any type of tower.

  8. TheTower Begin with 12 cups arranged like this…

  9. The Challenge Lasts 10 minutes The tower will be measured at the end of the 10 minutes.
