The American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic • Founded in Slovakia in 1993 • Officially authorized by the Ministry of Interior in May 1994 • Independent and self-supporting organization, dependant on contributions from its members, companies operating inSlovakia • Independent of the US or Slovak government • The most active foreign chamber in Slovakia • Approximately 300 members • Approximately 100 events and other activities & initiatives every year

Effective implementation of Education Reform; Improved conditions for R&D, innovation and technology transfer; Contribute to better vocational education and preparation of qualified labor force that meets business and industry needs; Long-term support of entrepreneurshipfor enhancing Slovakia’s competitiveness; Supportinglocal communities through workshops, conferences, educational projects and positive role models.

  17. Education Law and Law on Vocational Education Seven out of nine AmCham comments incorporated into Educational Law. Remaining two points are set to be incorporated into future legislation.

  18. Law on Vocational Education 2009/2011 AmCham contributed toLaw on Vocational Education in 2009 and is part of WG on Ministry of Education in 2011.
