  1. Ways To Relax After A Stressful Holiday Season Even if you’re typically a calm person, the holiday season can be a trying time. Your stress levels can skyrocket. These practical tips may minimize your stress and anxiety, and help you cope with stress after the holiday season. It's the most wonderful time of the year and soon another year will come. Now that the holiday season is winding down, let's explore some ways to relax with family and friends. After all, one of the best things about the holiday season is making memories with your loved ones. We get it, all of the hustle and bustle from the holidays can be exhausting. From maneuvering crowds in shopping malls, to spending hours wrapping gifts, planning parties and hosting guests, when it's all said and done you can experience holiday burnout. It's time to unwind from the holiday stress and treat yourself and your loved ones to a few relaxing days before the New Year. "From overeating to stressful activities, it’s no surprise that the holiday season can trigger heartburn,” said Michael Bachman, marketing director at Perrigo in a recent post on Fox

  2. News. Reducing stress after the holidays can help ensure your mind and body is in the right state to stay healthy and cultivate good habits for self-care in the New Year. The holiday season is such an enchanting time, filled with anticipation, surprise, love, family and spirituality. However, during all this excitement we need to remember to stop, relax and actually take a holiday. We have come up with six great suggestions to help you have a little relaxing holiday after the Christmas season. 1. Pamper yourself- Relax and take a little time to create the spa effect at home. Visit the Blissful Blog for some ideas on how to do just that. 2. Watch a move - Put some lavender essential oil in the diffuser and sit back and relax and watch a movie with your friends and family. Get comfy and cozy and relax with your loved ones, spending quality time laughing and enjoying a great holiday movie. 3. See the lights- Visit the local botanical garden, zoo or park where there are beautiful lights on display. Bundle up if necessary and walk around the beautifully lit area and breathe in some fresh air. 4. Take a day trip - Need to get out and about and do something different. It could be time to explore a new place. Take an adventure and go on a day trip to some place that relaxes you, like a beach to listen to the sound of the waves or a nice cabin in the woods for some peace and quiet.

  3. 5. Meditate- Grab some time for yourself daily to focus on your breath or heartbeat. It's a great way to find peace and calm during a busy holiday season and it's something you can do every day, a few times a day if needed to restore your inner peace and simply relax. 6. Get to bed early- After a busy day, it's a great idea to spend more time in bed. Go to bed a bit earlier to have a refreshing morning. The more sleep you get, the more prepared you will be to conquer the day and get things done. The stress of the holiday season can affect the calmest person you know. Take some time daily to relax in order to minimize stress levels and make sure you can fully enjoy the holidays. Let's choose to be merry and bright instead of grumpy and stressed by adding some relaxation to our day now that the holiday season is coming to a close.
