Points of single contact in the Services Directive Common requirement profile of the PSC (I) • Common requirement profile worked out by the Federal Government and the 16 federal „Länder“ in 2007: PSCs are under the remit of the „Länder“  all parties involved share a common basic understanding of the tasks and methods of the PSCs • Electronic andphysical approach  PSC responds to the individual needs of service providers

Points of single contact in the Services Directive Common requirement profile of the PSC (II) • Central online portal on federal level (Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology): basic information to help service providers locate the correct PSC • National service providers should also take advantage of the PSC

Points of single contact in the Services Directive Chosen Models: • Use of existing structures • Intermediate or high authorities (central model): Berlin, Brandenburg, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz • Chambers: Saarland, Thüringen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern • Municipalities: Bremen • Cooperation models: Bayern, Baden-Württemberg, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Schleswig-Holstein, Niedersachsen

  8. Points of single contact in the Services Directive • Physical infrastructure • Good accessibility – not only by electronic means (193 PSCs in Germany) • German PSCs can be recognized by their common logo • EUGO logo used as endorsement
