  8. Legal information subsystem • Database of the Legislation of the Republic of Lithuania; • Database of legal acts of the European Unionand respective translations.

  9. Legal information subsystem.Objectives • Increase public awareness of the legislative process; • Foster legal awareness of the public; • Encourage government accountability to the public; • Present all the activities of the Seimas to the citizens.

Database contains • All legal acts published in the official gazette Valstybės Žinios and its supplementInformaciniai Pranešimai; • Working documents of the Seimas, including draft legislation, agendas of meetings, minutes, decisions of the Board of the Seimas, etc.; • Legal acts of the European Union and their translations into Lithuanian;

Database contains • International conventions, bilateral and multilateral treaties and supplementing documents, documents adopted by the Baltic Assembly, the Seimas of Lithuania and the Sejm of Poland; • Consolidated versions of legal acts adopted by the Seimas and the Government; • Official translations of legal acts into English and Russian.

  12. Legal acts. Legislative path • Information on the adoption of legislation by the Seimas is provided starting with the registered draft and related information and finishing with the consolidated versions of legal acts. • Every legal act is also linked to the regulations governing its implementation.

  16. Plenary Sitting Information Subsystem.Objectives • to serve the plenary sittings of the Seimas; • to keep a close watch on PS process; • track how MPs are voting.

Plenary Sitting Information Subsystem • The following information is stored in the system: • information on plenary sittings, including questions under deliberation, discussions, registration, and voting information; • detailed agenda of the sitting; • planned date for the deliberations; • factual agenda of the sittings; • stages of deliberation on legislation; • persons to take the floor as registered beforehand.

  18. Plenary Sitting Information Subsystem • During the sitting: • discussion proceedings are settled; • registration results are provided, where users register electronically; • voting results are provided, where users vote via electronic equipment; • sitting attendance by MPs is displayed.

Subsystem for Audio/Video Recording and Management • Live audio/video broadcast of plenary sittings; • Live online broadcasts of press conferences and other major events. • Digital recording of the broadcasts of : • plenary sittings, • press conferences; • other events. • Verbatim reports; • Offline storage of audio/video records in the archive; • Online storage of minutes and audio records.

  22. Subsystem for Audio/Video Recording and Management • Audio recordings of the plenary sittings are indexed, enabling users to search by speaker and subject. • Search for press conferences by time and title.

Offline information At the end of each term of the Seimas a DVD including the following informationis issued: • Elections results; • Biographies of MPs; • Activity and functions of the Seimas authorities; • Composition and functions of the Seimas committees and commissions; • information on interparliamentary groups, parliament delegations; • minutes of plenary sittings, audio records of the Seimas sittings;
