  2. RD Programmes focusing on NRM • Watershed Development Programmes. • Comprehensive Land Development Programnme (INDIRA PRABHA). • National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme – Andhra Pradesh.

  3. Objectives of INRM Planning • Village Saturation-cover entire area • Avoid repetition of planning process for each scheme. • Avoid overlapping/duplication of works. • Make different programmes complimentary to each other- fill gaps

  4. Purpose of INRM Planning • To prepare exhaustive list of NRM works for saturating the village lands. • To get a perspective plan for EGS. • To identify works / treatment to be taken up under watershed development projects. • To identify all works to develop assigned lands and SC/ST patta lands. • To restore and strengthen all water bodies.

  5. Planning Strategy • Entire Village/GP saturation approach • Cluster based approach with TA as facilitator • Strictly following PNP in case of assigned lands and lands of SC/ST and Survey number wise works identification in other cases

  6. Planning Strategy • Gram Sabha on the last day in every GP • Compilation and estimation input data sheets • Compilation at generation of estimates at MCC using RAGA software • Take approval of GP

Information / Documents to be collected before taking up INRM Planning • Village Information. • Total Area, Wastelands, Area under Cultivation, Assigned lands, Common Property Resources, Water bodies, Wells, Types of Soils. • Population details, Livestock. • Community Based Organisations, • Crops, yield particulars. Information / Documents to be collected before taking up INRM Planning (Contd…..) • Cadastral Map / Survey of India Topo Sheet. • Treatment maps of completed / ongoing programme. • Action Plans of Watershed / CLDP. • EGS Shelf of works. • List of works completed earlier under other programmes.

  9. Preparatory Works • Advance intimation to village with schedule. • Orientation meeting (Grama Sabha) involving GP / CBOs, Farmers, all villagers etc. • Small Group meetings.

  10. Time Plan for INRM Planning Day-1 • Hold meeting with GP Sarpanch, Ward members, Farmers, Assigned land holders, land less poor, wage seekers (Labour groups), VO members, watershed committees, VSS members, WUA members, Rythu Mithra Groups etc and explain the purpose and methodology of preparing village comprehensive NRM. • PRA Exercise for preparing Resource Map etc. Contd…

Time Plan for INRM Planning Day - 2, 3 & 4 • Conduct field visit to the different parts of village along with villagers to identify and list out works under various categories and collect measurements & fill up the input data sheets for such works. Day - 5 • Consolidation and finalization of plan / prioritization of works and taking the approval of Grama Sabha.
