Sydney excursion 2010. By Lachlan Morrison Liam Scholte Brandon Maplesden. Arriving in Sydney. Years 5 and 6 went on an overnight excursion to Sydney in term 3 week 8. All the students left the school by coach it was a 2 hour trip to get to the Sydney Y hotel . Hyde Park.

  2. Arriving in Sydney Years 5 and 6 went on an overnight excursion to Sydney in term 3 week 8. All thestudents left the school by coach it was a 2 hour trip to get to the Sydney Y hotel .

  3. Hyde Park Lunch at Hyde park was exciting all the students had a nice lunch. All the teachers were enjoying the scenery there was an attractive water fountain we left Hyde Park by foot.

  4. NEW SOUTH WALES ART GALLARY The art Gallery was very exciting. There was a lot of funny and interesting pictures it was worth the experience. Mrs See got stuck with a all boys group Mrs See could barely keep up with all the boys.

  5. Parliament house Parlimenthouse was interesting but sometimes boring all the ministers were bantering at each other .Even the person that sat in the gallery fell a sleep. We did meet our local member Mr Greg piper and asked a question about the hunter regions water supply.

  6. THE ROCKS The rocks looked very ancient and they were. They are rocks made out of sand stone. They were quarried and carried by hand. The buildings looked vary old.

  7. Darling Harbour We took bus to Darling Harbour. It was raining when we got there so went to the Imax first instead of going to chinatown. We watched Hubble 3D instead of going to Chinatown. We saw a movie called Hubble 3D.

  8. Chinatown China Town was very Fun all children were satisfied the teachers liked the food to. We saw lots of different people and different foods.

  9. The Y hotel The Y hotel a accommodation wasn’t really good but the bed’s are good and you had view of the street . Most of the children stayed up to 4 am.

  10. Hyde Park Barracks The Hyde Park Barracks was enjoyable we were provided with information about convicts and how they lived .Convicts would be whipped by the cat of 9 tails if they were bad.

  11. Manly At manly beach we all got to spend our money on what eerwe wanted. every one bought lots and lots of stuff. By the end of the day no one had any money left.

  12. ON The Ferry We hoped on to a ferry at going to circular quay. We walked to the sydney harbour bridge to walk across it. First it was sunny then it was hailing the Gail wind and lastly torrential rain by the time we got of the bridge we were all drenched

  13. Taronga zoo After walking over the harbour bridge we got on a bus to go to Taronga zoo. For a night walk around the zoo we didn't see much but we learnt a lot it was a good experience

  14. Going home We departed Taronga zoo at 9:00 pm and got back to the school at approximately 11:00 pm we were all very tired. What a great excursion we had.
