  7. 2003-2004 ORIGIN OF THE PROJECT • 2003 : Only 3 taxis were accessible. • Our responsibilityis to provide taxis for all • Wehelped the volunteers drivers to equiptheirvehicule • France wasworking on a law to enforceequity • The lawwaspublished on february 11th 2005.   8. 2004-2010 FAILURES AND SUCCESS • We set twosystems of accessibles taxis • We made a special training • Weinvested500 000€ to equip the vehicules • It was a period of experimentations • Wehad to provide more availability.   9. 2011 A LARGER FLEET • Weinvested an extra 500 000€ in one year • 50 taxis withaccessrampat the end of 2011. • Wedecided to rely on the otherfleets : • 900 station-wagon type vehiculeswithlowfloors • 5000 lowfloorvehicules • Westarted a communication plan: • Disabled people • Senior citizens • Wefoundnew marketopportunities: • Accessible tourism • Medical taxis • Home to workdaily taxis ACCESSIBLE TOURISM : AN INVESTMENT FOR EUROPE’S FUTURE, WEDNESDAY 28TH NOVEMBER 2012
