  8. What the Problem is… • California Condors were hunted, poached, humans collected their eggs, they got caught in electrical wires, and the big problem was lead poisoning.

  9. Lead poisoning- a big problem • Lead poisoning was due to the fact that fragmented lead bullets were left in carcasses of the condors prey.

  10. The Comeback • The condors’ only problem now is that its numbers are very low. Its number used to be so low, in fact, that there were no condors in the wild at 0ne time. Now there are 170 condors and rising.

  11. Cause of the Condor Rise • The California Condor has one of many organizations to thank, including the California Condor Conservation Project.

  12. How to Help • Hundreds of thousands of people are helping save the condors. You can help by driving safely, even here in Wisconsin.
