  4. HISTORY OF • JOHN L. LEFLORE • MAGNET HIGH SCHOOL • Named in honor of Mr. John L. LeFlore, • a prominent civil rights leader in the 1960s • Opened in January 1981 • Graduated its first class in 1981 • JROTC Program began at Toulminville • High School in 1969 • Designated a Preparatory Academy in 2006 • Re-designated a Magnet High School in 2008

CLOTHING SHORTFALLS • The DAI gave us permission to not issue our • LET 1 cadets the Class A Jacket due to a shortage of this item which is no longer available in the supply system • Purchases of name tags are obtained through JROTC ExChange…a California based company • There will be a significant problem fitting females in Sizes 4 – 12 in the out years due the discontinuation of the green dress uniforms
