History! • 5th Century - Conquered by the Franks • 1106 - Victory of Tinchebray gave Normandy to the Plantagenets • 1204 – Philippe Auguste confiscated the region • Hundred Years War - Annexed by England • 1436-1450 – French regained region • 1468 – entirely under French monarchy’s control • 1956- Created a new region

Il a une grande variété de collines, plaines, et les cours d'eau. Les attractions touristiques de la regionsont port de Honfleur, la Tapisserie de Bayeux, ville natale de William le Conquérant à Falaise, la Basilique de Lisieux, jardin précieux et de Claude Monet à Giverny. Choses intéressantes à faire dans cette région sont visitez D-Day mémoriaux et cimetières, aller à la plage, et visiter les célèbres villages. Si vous êtes en Basse-Normandie au cours de la fin de l'automne / début de l'hiver, vous pouvez aller au Festival du hareng à Dieppe.
