  6. Why Ashlawn? New Sixth Form Centre The new £2.6 million bespoke Sixth Form Centre is open! The centre is a base and learning hub for all of our sixth formers.

Learning which is accessible for all Pathway A Choose 1 or 2 facilitating subjects: Biology Chemistry Physics Mathematics Further Mathematics English Literature History Geography Languages Plus 1 or 2 from the following subjects: Accounting; Art and Design; Business Studies; Computing; Creative Writing; Design and Technology; Theatre Studies; Economics; Engineering; Film Studies; Government and Politics; Health and Social Care; Media Studies; Music Technology; Photography; Physical Education; Psychology; Sociology

  9. Learning which is accessible for all Pathway B Choose 3 from the following: BTEC Sport; BTEC Business; BTEC Science; Health & Social single & double; Media Studies; English Language and Literature; Theatre Studies; Extended Project; Logistics

  10. Learning which is accessible for all Pathway C Choose 3 from the following: BTEC Sport; BTEC Business; BTEC Science; Health & Social single & double; Media Studies; English Language and Literature; Theatre Studies; Extended Project; Logistics Plus you can retake English or Maths

  11. Why Ashlawn? Learning which is accessible for all • You can do 4 A Level courses or just 3 depending on your results • Many A level subjects require grade B’s at GCSE to start them, this is a Level 5A in English and Maths • There are courses you can access on Grade C but the choice is more limited • We will guarantee you a place if you do the hard work and get the grades

  12. Why Ashlawn? Ashlawn and Beyond….. Destinations Support and guidance post Sixth Form means 83% of our students successfully are accepted into university. This year we have 5 Oxbridge applicants as well as medicine applications

What you need to do? • What you would like to study? • Look at the information regarding the sort of A Level combinations that are needed for the sort of area you will be studying post Sixth Form • Attend the open evenings • Talk to any member of the Sixth Form Team • Ask your teachers what they think about your plans • Revise hard for your mocks remember the mock exams will help your teachers predict a grade for you • Complete the application form and hand in by 14th December

It is better to have lots of options. 17th October Talks with Sixth Form Team  24th November Ashlawn Open Evening for Prospective Students 14th December Deadline for applications 9th January Sixth Form interviews begin April Conditional offers for a Sixth Form Place – we will guarantee you a place if you get your grades! 3rd & 4th July Sixth Form induction – an opportunity to meet other Sixth Form students 24th August GCSE results – a chance to celebrate 24th August Enrolment days –confirm your subject choices Applicant Deadline 14th December
