  1. Interface Requirements Abdelkrim Bouabdellah

  2. Interface Requirements • Mechanical Interface • Pre-amplifier: 100 mm M4 74 mm

  3. Interface Requirements • Mechanical Interface Boom interface: 40mm M5 72mm

  4. Interface Requirements • M. L. I. • A thermal blanket will allow the antennae to remain between –100 °C and +80 °c • It will also act as an electrostatic protector

  5. Electrical SCM Pre-amp 100 DFB x3 C1 C2 +10 v AGND -10 v Interface Requirements • 3 analog signals • +/-5 v swing • .25Hz – 4 KHZ • 2 digital signals • C1 and C2: • Vih=2.4 v min • Vil= 0.8 v max • 3 power lines • Ripple < 1% • AGND = DGND • But N.C. to Structure

  6. Interface Requirements • EMC • Conducted noise will be measured on the spacecraft • Radiated magnetic field at sensor level should not exceed: • < 1 pT/sqrt(Hz) at 10 Hz • < 0.1 pT/sqrt(Hz) at 1 KHz

  7. Interface Requirements • Calibration: operational concept • Used to check the transfer function by sending a triangular wave to the instrument. • Once every orbit for 30 sec • Control signals: • C1 = 1 for 30 sec, then = 0 • C2 always 1. Used to turn off the cal, in case switch 1 gets stuck in ON position.
