  1. Greenacres is excited to announce our new grade configuration for the upcoming 2009 – 2010 school year. K & 1st grade multiage classrooms2nd & 3rd grade multiage classroomsTraditional 4th, 5th and 6th grade classrooms We believe that this configuration is developmentally appropriate for early childhood education and provides consistency for all students. Research suggests that six through eight year old children benefit from a primary teacher for more than one year. “We are all in this together” to ensure that every child succeeds. Teachers and children work across as well as within grade levels to build a sense of shared purpose and develop positive character traits in children (like caring, empathy, and responsibility).
