  2. Initial Once upon a time (2006), a site administrator was challenged by the behavior and climate at her school She worked with her Superintendent to investigate a potential support for this need Those investigations led to finding Rob and his friends – (also known as PBIS) (2007)

Beariers • Too Hot: • Mindset • Fiscal crisis • Changing of site and department administrators • Too Cold: • Transfer from training to practice • Process for change perceived as too time consuming • Perceived competing initiatives Just Right: New Superintendent made PBIS a “non-negotiable” - funded training and coaching

Success - Who’s been doing PBIS? • Initiated Annual Assessments • SET (Tier 1) & MATT (Tier 2 & 3) • District and Site Teaming • District Team – Developed action plan and goals for 5 years • Site Teams • Tier 1 – monthly • Tier 2/3 – meets biweekly • Coaching • District Coach for all site teams • SpEquity Coach training and support for simple BSPs
