What is Blogging • A website that is usually arranged in chronological order from the most recent ‘post’ (or entry) at the top of the main page to the older entries towards the bottom. • A Blog is essentially an instrument of communication that can be used to Record information, Share knowledge and Develop community. Step 8:- Next we areon the introduction page offering a short description of WordPress. from the options listed, select New Installation. Step 9:- We need to fill out all of the options carefully. Step 10:- Click on install and then finish.

Since we want to create a new page, click on Add New. • Themes:- scroll down to Appearance and click on Themes.

Plugins • The All in One SEO Pack optimizes your Blog for the search engines—Search Engine Optimization, as it’s commonly known. • The Akismetplugin is such an important tool for fighting comment spam that it actually comes with the WordPress installation. • Google Analytics can help you to track various statistics on your website, such as how many site visitors you’ve had, the number of page views a visitor makes, and which websites referred them to your blog. • The next app in our plugin arsenal is Google’s XML Sitemap Generator plugin. Which creates a special XML sitemap to help the search engines (such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo) to better crawl and index your blog.
