  2. History • Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen • The two founders were first introduced to computers at Lakeside Prep school, where they attended Middle school. • They both became so intelligent about computers that they hacked the system and changed and deleted important files. As a result, they were banned from using the computers. • They were later being hired to find bugs and weaknesses in the system.

  3. Continued History • Gates eventually went to Harvard University in 1973. • A new computer came out that needed software so Gates and Allen spent nights writing a program to show the Altair Manufactures. • The manufactures were impressed and the program was sold. • Gates eventually dropped out of Harvard and started a Corporation (Microsoft) with Allen. • By 1986, Gates was a 31 year old billionaire • By 1993, a million copies of the first version of Windows was sold every month.

  4. SpreadsheetEquation/Data Table/Graph • The first day of buying stocks we lost $10.12. • We ended up with $658.94. • The price and share were mostly between 28 to 30 dollars per share and we bought 354 shares a day. • We bought shares every day for 15 days.

  5. Graph Equation • The slope of the line is Y=.5/12x+29.5 • The graph shows the rise and fall of the stock. • As you can see our stock has been steady throughout the 15 days. • The stock never took a great fall.

  6. Reasoning/ Conclusion For Microsoft

  7. Reasoning/Conclusion • My group and I chose Microsoft because it stayed at a steady rate according to the stock market. • We also chose it because it was one of the few companies that was doing well. • The last reason the group chose Microsoft was because it was really interesting to find out how it was founded.

  8. Continued Reasoning/Conclusion • The logical conclusion to the group’s findings is that Microsoft will do well in the future. • Some people think that Microsoft’s rival, Macintosh, will overturn Microsoft but after Mac was produced people continued to happily buy Microsoft. • According to the group, all the people who buy Microsoft, and the stock market , Microsoft is a good quality product.
