  3. Objective To compare the kinematic results of two different gait analysis systems. Data Acquisition Data Analysis Performance Methodology • Exchanging the motion data between KISS & VICON. • Studying the same subject on each system.

  4. Objective To make KISS compatible with a common widely used file format. To enlarge the database available.

  5. Gait Analysis Analysis of the mechanics of human body during walking, stair ascending/descending, obstacle avoidance.

  6. Gait Analysis Gait analysis plays a key role in: • Diagnosis of disorders in lower extremity • Decision making before operations • Evaluation of prosthetic joint replacements • Comparison of gait parameters before and after operations • Studies in orthotics, amputees, athletic injuries

  12. C3D - A 3D Biomechanics Data Standard • Developed by Andrew Dainis in 1987. • Used by almost all commercial motion capture systems.

  13. Converting *.yor file to *.c3d • Export the coordinate data from *.yor file as *.txt format. • Arrange the data in text file according to c3d format. • Create *.c3d file by a program called ‘C3D Editor’.
