  1. Login to eShip GlobaleShip Global is an online shipping service providing access to contracted shipping carriers for outbound letters and packages. For more information about eShip Global please review the eShip Global Overview. Login to eShip Global from the Procurement Marketplace or from Shipping on the Logistics home page.

  2. Login to eShip Global continued….Login using your UTMB Username and Password.

  3. Login to eShip Global continued….Click the To eShip Global button to access the home page.

  4. Create Your User ProfileThe first time you login you will be prompted to create a user profile. Click the Register button to submit your profile information. Each eShip Global user must create his/her profile and register.

  5. Home Page OptionsThis is the eShip Global home page. You will see this page when you login subsequent to registering your user profile. Throughout this web site you will access services using the navigation bar options (outlined in red). Each option is a hyperlink or drop down menu.

  6. Get a Rate ComparisonUsing the RATE option you can specify destination, package information, and service level and receive a side-by-side rate comparison for contracted shipping companies. You can also obtain a rate during the shipping process using the SHIP option.

  7. Get a Rate continued….Complete the required fields and click the Rate It button to get a side-by-side rate comparison. Information that is not required for the package type will be faded out.

  8. Get a Rate continued…..The side-by-side rate comparison allows you to select the best cost option for your department. Point to an amount in the Your Rate (US $) column for a pop-up table displaying the itemized rate.

  9. Ship a Letter or PackagePoint to the SHIP option in the navigation bar and select Domestic or International from the drop down menu.Ship From defaults from your login.When you complete the Ship To address fields, the address is automatically added to the Address Book when the Add to Address Book box is checked (default). You may also use the Quick Ship feature to save a repeat address and other shipping information. Next time you ship you can select the Ship To address from the Address Book or from Quick Ship.

  10. Ship a Letter or Package continued….If you are shipping to an address in the address book check the appropriate box and click the Ship To button. The Ship To information will populate the shipping page.

  11. Ship a Letter or Package continued…. Enter Package Info. Enter Billing References: this information is the PeopleSoft FMS chart field string (CFS) the shipment will be charged to. Business Unit must be entered in upper case. You must enter either Class (over-type the zeros) or Project number and Budget reference. If you selected Recipient or Third Party from the Bill To drop down you will be prompted for the related Acct #, Zip Code, and also CFS for the eShip Global service fee. TIP! Instead of selecting service type here, use ‘Show Quote’ (bottom) to compare carrier cost before making your selection.

  12. Ship a Letter or Package continued…. Special Instructions: as noted, additional charges may apply. These charges will be listed separately in the itemized rate table. Signature Release: if you decline signature upon delivery (check the box) for FedEx and UPS commercial deliveries, you will not be able to see a picture of the signature if you request a Proof of Delivery (POD). Complete Special Instructions and Email Notifications, then click the Show Quote button.

  13. Ship a Letter or Package continued…. Point to the posted rate in the Your Rate (US $) column for a carrier and type of service/commitment level to see the total rate itemized. Select a carrier by clicking in the radio button in front of the carrier name. You do not need a departmental account with each when you use eShip Global. Ready? Click the Ship button to continue.

  14. Print a Shipping LabelThe order and tracking numbers are displayed in the upper left corner of the shipment information. If more than one shipment is listed, check the appropriate shipment box before selecting an action. The buttons on the bottom indicate available actions at this point in the process. Click the Print Label button to get a bar code label.

  15. Print a Shipping Label continued…. Print the label and affix to your package. Your package is ready to be dropped off or picked up, depending on what you selected in the Special Instructions.

  16. Schedule a Shipment PickupClick the Schedule Pickup button to set a pickup date and time if you selected pick up in the Special Instructions.

  17. Schedule a Shipment Pickup continued….Enter the pickup date, the time you will have the shipment ready, and your office closing time. Verify the pickup location and the shipment information. Make sure the shipping label has been printed. Ready? Click the Schedule Pickup button. Your shipment has been scheduled to be picked up at the time and address you have selected. TIP!You must include building name and room number for a successful pickup.

  18. Schedule a Shipment Pickup continued….The Pickup confirmation number is issued once the pickup is scheduled.Summary: You have learned how to login to eShip Global, create your user profile and ship a package.
