  2. What is a Beluga? A Beluga is a Whale. Beluga is one of the smallest whales. The color of the Beluga is white.

  3. Where do Belugas live?! • Belugas live in the Artic Ocean with other Belugas. • They love to Play with their Friends.

  4. What does a Beluga need?! • The Beluga need food, water, energy, and a pod to survive. • This is a picture of a Beluga pod!

  5. Adaptation ~ Beluga pods • Belugas live in small groups called pods. • It helps them protect other Beluga whales. • It also helps them be social.

  6. Adaptation ~ Belugas Sounds • Belugas use sounds like clicks and whistles to communicate with other whales. • This is a picture of a Belugas mouth!

  7. Adaptation ~ Swimming • Belugas are very slow swimmers. • Belugas can swim forward and backward. • Beluga Whales often swim at depths barely covering their bodies.
