  1. Pre-Requisite and Equivalency for Bus 103 By Sita Motipara

  2. Who needs to challenge? • If you have taken equivalent of introduction to computers at any other institution you do not have to challenge. (do nothing.) • If you have acquired basic computing skills by working with them, (at home or in office) then you may challenge the prerequisite.

  3. Skills equivalency • Knowledge of Windows operating system • Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 • Windows navigation skills • Minimize, maximize and resize windows • Multitasking • Move or copy information between programs

  4. Creating folders, creating files using Word or WordPad Organizing (moving, copying, renaming, deleting) files and folders using windows XP or Vista Knowledge of Windows accessories such as notepad, WordPad and paint File management skills

  5. Other Programs • Working knowledge of a Word Processing program (MS Word or Google Docs) for report writing purpose. • Working knowledge of a presentation software (MS PowerPoint or Google Docs Presentation application)

  6. Internet and E-mail management • E-Mail • Searching on Web • Sending file attachment • Use of Interface used to present the classroom content over Internet such as Web Access in On-line class.

  7. Recommended Math 811 eligibility • Knowledge of basic algebraic equations • Knowledge of basic business math • Able to calculate percents, increases and decreases by percents • Understanding of graphs and charts
