  6. Where will we go? Morelia, Mexico located in Michoacán state, 4 hours from Mexico City.

  7. Where will we go? Population of 800,000. A university city with about 80,000 students studying among the 4 universities.

  8. Most areas of interest are within walking distance from the central plaza.

  9. What will we do in Mexico? • Spanish classes will be held at the Baden- Powell Institute in Morelia. http://www.baden-powell.com/Spanish_Program • Located in the downtown area.

  11. What will we do in Mexico? • School observations and discussions with teachers and administrators.

  16. Timeline • The required orientation will be May 1, 2010. • A short logistics meeting over dinner will take place before departure.

  19. Course Requirements • One credit is included with the course. You can add 2 or 5 additional credits on the first day of orientation.

  22. Cost • Pre-departure Orientation, three weeks in Mexico (language classes, school observations, excursions, workshops/lectures, room/board), and one professional development graduate credit:

  24. Additional Costs • Airfare is currently estimated at $550(direct flight to Morelia).
