    7. BFA Youth League Members The BFA Youth League’s consist of: 1,500 Registered players 85 Teams 20 Clubs The League runs from the 1st week of October until the last Saturday of March annually. During the 2006/07 season there was a total of 735 matches played.

YOUTH LEAGUE General History: A summary of the past efforts to address issues facing the BFA Youth League's and the general history of the problem itself, including the root causes contributing to the problem. Benchmarks:  Setting measurable goals ands reviewing the targets reached and how is has been done.  Barriers: A discussion of the challenges which may hinder us from achieving all of our goals.  How might your organization begin to remove one or more of these barriers? Opportunities: The role each of your clubs/teams can play to reach the common objective. A ORGANIZED AND COMPETITIVE YOUTH LEAGUE WHICH IS BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF DEVELOPMENT, PARTICIPATION, COMMUNICATION & RESPONSIBILITY.

    9. REFEREES The BFA Youth Leagues have increased the number of certified Youth referees. The 2006/07 Season resulted in 735 youth games being played. 351 matches had a referee. 384 matches where played without a referee or an individual, not knowledgeable of the Laws of the Game.

    10. REFEREE SOLUTIONS Each team has 14 to 22 players 3 individuals per EACH team who are prepared to officiate on a rotational basis. The BFA will provide: Training Uniforms Opportunities Community participation Payment

    14. MATCH FIELDS AND SCHEDULING The BFA Youth Leagues continue to grow. Scheduling dates, times and venues must be adhered to. The rescheduling of dates must be done 4 weeks in advance.

    20. Match Forms/Team Sheets The BFA Youth Committee (BFA Office) must receive the match/team sheets within 72 hours. All forms for matches played on Saturday must be in the BFA office by Tuesday 12 noon. Any match played on Sunday must be in the office By Wednesday 12 noon. The Media will not accept any team standings which are not accurate. The forms are signed by your clubs and either handed to a referee or club member.

    21. Conduct The Youth Committee urges each club to ensure that their players, fans and coaches conduct themselves in a hospitable and respectful manner at all times. It is up to EACH one of us to encourage FAIR PLAY at all times. This applies to all events both on and off the field.

    23. BFA Youth Season 2007/08 Start of the BFA Youth Season 2007/08 Saturday September 29th at the NSC Football Is Fun Day BFA – Appleby Youth Charity Cup Final Event details are being planned. . The focus will be on giving back to Bermuda. Charity Matches, Educational Information, Health Info and other Football activities.

BFA Help Sheet for Registering your Team(s) for the 2007/08 season Deadlines for Season 2007/2008 First Deadline - Friday, June 29, 2007 A registration fee of $100 per team is payable for each team registered by June 29, 2007. Second Deadline – Monday, July 30, 2007 A registration fee of $200 per team is due for each team registered by July 31, 2007. Final Deadline – Saturday, September 15, 2007 – 12 noon!! A registration fee of $300 per team is payable for each team registered by September 15, 2007. If any of the required items listed above are incomplete after September15, 2007, the team will NOT be included in the BFA schedule of matches.

    27. Mandatory Registration Documents The registration procedure is as follows: Complete Annual Registration Form Complete Team Registration Fee Form and payment of fee. Complete Annual Youth Player Registration Form Complete Transfer Certificate and Registration Form for each player transferred to new club. Complete Registration Form for each player registering for the first time. Each player must attend Player Card issue session as per team schedule.

Birthdates Regulations Children’s Football categories will be: U7 (players born on or after January 1, 2000) U9 (players born on or after January 1, 1998) U11 (players born on or after January 1, 1996) Youth Football Youth Football categories will be: U13 (players born on or after January 1, 1994) U15 (players born on or after January 1, 1992) U18 (players born on or after January 1, 1989)

    30. Player Transfers Players will be permitted to transfer without a fee until June 29, 2007. Players will be permitted to transfer after June 29, 2007 up to September 15th, 2007 at $50 per player. All transfer request after September 15th, will be at the discretion of the BFA Youth Committee. Players who Turn 16 Before or During the season, must transfer under the Senior player Transfer Deadlines, if playing in the U18 Division.
