  2. Introduction • John Kennedy was born on May 29th, 1917 in Brookline, Mass. • He died on November 22,1963. • John was elected when he was 35 in 1963. • His political party was a Democrat. • John was the youngest president to be elected and the youngest to die.

  3. Early Life • John’s parents were Joseph P Kennedy and Rose F Kennedy, they had nine children. • Religion, sports and competition were a big part of the Kennedy’s. • John went to Harvard and Princeton University.

  4. Family Life • John was married to Jacqueline Bouvier. • He had 3 kids. • John’s mother Rose had a father who was the mayor of Boston.

  5. The Election • In the election John ran against Richard Nixon and he choose Lyndon B. Johnson as a vice president. • Nixon had 219 votes and John had 303 votes, John won by a lot! • vs.

  6. Significant Events In Presidency • Kennedy issued The Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty on October 10, 1963. • This limited most types of nuclear weapon testing.
