  2. Information About UGA • Located in Athens, GA • A public school • Number of undergrads seeking a degree- 24,791 • Team Name- Bulldogs

  3. Admission Requirements • Must receive between 1,130-1,330 on your SAT • Must receive between 24-28 on your ACT • The SAT reasoning and the ACT writing are required.

  4. Expenses • In-state tuition and fees (if you are living on campus) are about $4,628. • Room and board are about $6,376 • Books and supplies are about $750 • An estimated personal expense is about $1,740 • Cost per credit hour(in state)is $152

  5. A Way To Pay For College • Financial Aid can help you pay for college. • There are three types of financial aid 1.Grants and scholarships a. grant aids come from federal and state governments. b. scholarships are usually awarded based on merit 2. Loans a. these need to be paid b. loans are from the government as well c. you can begin payment after you graduate 3. Work a. work-study aid helps pay for education, books,supplies, and personal expenses

Hope Scholarship • Stands for Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally • Helps students with financial assistance in degree, diploma, and certificate programs • Only applies to students at Georgia public and private universities and colleges • Requirements a. minimum of 3.0(B) on cumulative grade point b. must have a grade for attempted coursework in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language

  8. Sports Club There are many different levels of women and men’s clubs for a variety of sports. For example: badminton, basketball, cheerleading, cricket, cross-country, football, golf, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, swimming, and many more.

  9. Dorms • 97% of first-year students live in college housing • 27% of all undergraduates live in college housing • Amount of housing deposits-$275 • There are many different housing options, for example: coed, women, men, fraternity, sorority

  10. What To Do In High School To Prepare For College • Try your hardest • Participate in other sports and clubs • Maintain good grades • Study!!! • Pay attention
