  2. PERSONAL LIFE • In 1963, Stephen got diagnosed with motor neurone disease. • He grew up in the South of England and was born on the 8th of January 1942

  3. Who inspired Stephen hawking. At the age of 11 he attended St Albans School were he was good but not exceptional. The teacher who inspired him was him mathematics teacher Dikran Tahta.

  4. What he did. Hawking has worked on the subject of black holes, providing theories for their behaviour.

  5. Medals and prizes Stephen has received Some of the awards Hawking has received for his work are the 1979 Albert Einstein Medal, the Order of the British Empire Medal in 1982 and in 1988 Wolf Prize in Physics.
