What are they • Cave paintings are paintings found on cave walls and ceilings, and especially refer to those of prehistoric origin. The earliest such art in Europe dates back to approximately 40,000 years ago, and is found in the El Castillo cave in Cantabria, Spain. The exact purpose of the paleolithic cave paintings is not known.
Communication • Evidence suggests that they were not decorations of living areas, because the caves in which they have been found do not have signs of ongoing habitation. They are also often located in areas of caves that are not easy to get to. Some theories hold that cave paintings may have been a way of communicating with others.
Cave paintings have been found all around the world which gives some evidence that they did it to communicate with one another.
Why? • Symbols were used in the early ages to communicate with other much easier and to make a lot more sense.
The imperfection of speech, which nonetheless allowed easier creation of inventions and idea’s which led to the creation of symbols improving both the range at which people could communicate and the longevity of the information. All of those inventions were based on the key concept of the symbol a conventional representation of a concept.
What are they • Carrier or messenger pigeon is a homing pigeon that is used to carry messages. Using pigeons to carry messages is generally called pigeon post. Most homing or racing type varieties are used to carry messages. There is no specific breed. Carrier pigeons that are the basic Racing Homer were used to carry messages in World War I and World War II.
pigeons carried messages only one way, to their home. They had to be transported manually before another flight. However, by placing their food at one location and their home at another location, pigeons have been trained to fly back and forth up to twice a day reliably, covering round-trip flights up to 160 km.
With training, pigeons can carry up to 75 g on their backs. The German apothecary Julius Neubronner used carrier pigeons to deliver urgent medication to hospitals and homes.
Pigeons were used before and during the world war as there was no radio technology at the time so they were very effective to send urgent messages and deliver small packages
What is it • A Mobile is a device that can make and receive telephone calls over a radio link while moving around a wide geographic area.
How does it work • It does so by connecting to a cellular network provided by a mobile phone operator, allowing access to the public telephone network. By contrast, a cordless telephone is used only within the short range of a single, private base station
What is on it • There are many different things on the different types of cell phones. Most phones these days have app stores to buy games and music, you can also surf the web. In the 80’s cell phones were very large and were only used to call people within a certain amount of distance, this worked by using analog technology.
Creator • Alexander Graham Bell born on March 3, 1847 and died on August 2, 1922 was an eminent scientist, inventor and engineer who is credited with inventing the first practical telephone. • He invented the first ever telephone in 1876.
