  2. BIO: • Born September 1960 in Seattle, WA • Studied at Rutgers University and attended The Le Cordon Bleu Institute, but never graduated. • Studied under famous Chef Marco Pierre White in London • Finished Apprenticeship in Northern Italian City of BorgaCapanne

  3. Has opened 16 restaurants since 1998. Babbo is the Flagship in Greenwich Village, NY • Published 9 cookbooks including The Babbo Cookbook, MaltoItaliano, and Mario tailgates Nascar Style. • Has hosted many televisions shows on Food Network including Iron Chef, Malto Mario and Ciao America.

  4. Achievements 1999 Mario was Awarded “Man of the Year in Chef category in GQ magazine. 2001 D’ ArtagnanCervna award (Who’s Who in food award) 2002 James Beard Foundations “Best Chef: New York City” award 2005 James Beard Foundation “Outstanding Chef of the Year
