  1. Muslim weddings In these types of celebrations, traditions are who dictate the steps that must be followed until the great day arrives. Celebrations of several days in which the bride is the true protagonist of the event. Rooms full of bright colors, natural flowers to honor the future couple and much tradition. If this season you will attend your first Muslim wedding photographer and want to be a little informed, here is the simplest guide to avoid surprises. The Muslim weddings are held in a mosque, before the Magnet (religious leader and sometimes political). The tradition, extended to other cultures and religions, indicates that all preparations for the bride on the wedding day, such as dress or accessories, should not be seen by the groom before the marriage ceremony, as it brings bad luck. This religion allows men to marry Christian or Jewish women, because they represent peoples who have a sacred book, but instead, Muslim women, should not marry someone who does not belong to their religion. The marriage contract must be certified by the groom and his guardian, called Wali. In the official act of marriage, in which religious writings are read (as in most ceremonies), the wali pronounces some words dedicated to the bride and groom. As in all other religions, all dispositions and laws (including those of marriage) are found in his holy book, the Qur'an. In the Muslim religion it is allowed to have more than one wife, although the most common practice is to have one. The same is true with the negotiation of marriage. Formerly it was customary for two men, the groom, and some male relative close to the bride (father or siblings), to close the marriage agreement, nowadays it is something consensuado between the pair.

  2. The traditional dowry is far from what we are accustomed to believe. It is interpreted to be a gift from the groom's family to that of the bride, when in fact it is a gift from the future husband to his wife, such as the engagement ring, earrings or the house in which they will live once married. The bride and groom, with three witnesses before the "sheikh", a type of Islamic magistrate, to perform the marriage contract. Under Islamic law, at that time the couple is legally and spiritually united, even though the wedding ceremony has not yet been held. Therefore, the bride returns home to plan the celebration, which usually takes place a week or two later. A Muslim wedding usually lasts from three days to a week and is usually held in the house of one of the contracting parties, or as in other religions, in public places such as hotels, farms, etc. The first night is a celebration for women only, the bride dresses with a kaftan and her hands and feet are marked with henna to ward off the evil spirits of her. Each symbol has a meaning allusive to woman and man. In addition the protagonist enjoys a Hammam, a bath relaxing with steam, to purify itself. That night the bride is escorted by women with candles, incenses, songs and dances that allude to her beauty and to the process that is about to live. The mother-in- law of the bride, Gives him a tray with keys, bread and milk. The keys represent welcome to family and food abundance. The Arab wedding symbolizes more the union of families than that of the bride and groom themselves, hence the importance of giving gifts to families. From the second night, the party begins, to which family and friends are invited. In all the celebrations there is all the rich Muslim tradition and its beautiful folklore in which the bride and groom occupy the place of honor of the banquet. Unlike Catholic weddings, it is women who open the dance in Muslim women.
