Here is a rice recipe that is not only low on calories but also features as one of the top healthy dishes that you can whip up in a matter of minutes. Here is a simple guide on how to make corn rice. Using just a few simple ingredients found easily in the kitchen you can make something delicious which is also appealing to the eye. Wash and soak the rice 20 minutes prior to cooking and make this colourful rice dish in another 30 minutes.

  4. Take one cup of rice and cook it following which you should allow it to cool a little before proceeding further. Once cool, heat some olive oil in a pan and fry two cloves of minced garlic, one medium onion, one green chilli, 3/4th cup bell pepper and one cup sweet corn in the oil. Once the veggies start to soften up add the cooked rice along with pepper and salt as per your taste. Stir for a few more minutes and serve this dish either hot or cold. You can serve this rice dish with an equally healthy option like the teriyaki vegetable. The teriyaki vegetable recipe is easy to make and will complement the corn rice. For this recipe heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onions in it. Once the onions turn translucent add garlic and ginger in the pan and sauté for another 5 minutes.

  5. Add all the veggies that you want, making sure that they are a nice symphony of colours with the use of different bell peppers and carrots and leafy greens. Cook for another 5-8 minutes till the vegetables are tender. Season with pepper and salt as per your taste. You can also add in cashews and other nuts to give it a slight crunch. You can also eat this just by itself as an evening snack.
