  1. Morality Indigeneity Dignity Immorality Drug Violation ofSovereignty Coca GrowersoftheBolivian Yungas Research Question: How do cocagrowers in the Yungas negotiatethemoralityandimmoralityattachedtothecocaleafwhenseekinginclusion in different collectivities (communal, national)? Main Vision: The idea of economic growing through coca underlies their conceptions of the moral person. This stands in contrast to the official discourse about the «indigenous citizen». They negotiate this clash of moralities through their engagement in party-politics and by reifying local ideas of tradition and history when seeking inclusion within the nation-state.
