  3. Commotion • Definition- Noisy Activity • In homeroom the students created such a commotion that the teacher had to place them is assigned seats so they wouldn’t talk as much.

  4. Concoction • P.O.S- Noun • Synonym- a Mixture • Antonym- Separate Ingredients

  5. Concoction • Definition- A mixture of ingredients • Stirring the pot slowly, the witch tossed frog toes, dragon eyes, and unicorn blood into her strange concoction.

  6. Conspicuous • P.O.S- Adjective • Synonyms- Noticeable • Antonyms- Concealed

  7. Conspicuous • Definition- Easily seen; something obvious; attracts attention • By painting their house conspicuously it stood out from the rest, and was met with odd looks.

  9. Contortion • Definition- A sharp twist or bend in or of, something or some one. • At the park a crowd of mystified onlookers stared at the amazing contortionist who could twist himself into a crazy positions, making him a master of contortion.

  11. Imperious • Definition- Arrogant; thinking you are above it all. • Prince Broomer had a imperious attitude towards his subjects because he was a ruler, but sometimes he took it too far and used his attitude on his father, the king.

  15. Jargon • Definition- Specialized language of a profession or group • When my dad started to text he was completely clueless to my texting jargon. For example things like LOL or OMG.

  17. Jostle • Definition- to roughly bump into a person or thing. • When the cat had finally laid down and slept, a naughty boy jostled the cat awake

  19. Scurry • Definition- to move briskly; to scamper • The child, who is running late, scurried of to the bus stop as fast as possible, hoping not to miss the bus.

  21. Serenity • Definition- The quality of being calm, Peaceful or untroubled. • The serenity of the lake calmed and soothed everyone who came to sit by its beautiful shores.

  23. Sociable • Definition- Enjoying the company of others • At the birthday party many reclusive children who burry their heads in electronics become more sociable, and they finally take their head out of their DS and IPod.
